Our Feature Series
Sam Iwuajoku
Source of Wealth: Commodities, Aviation
services
Iwuajoku made his fortune importing rice and steel rods,
while leveraging his extensive political connections to obtain a series of
generous import duty waivers from the Nigerian government. Among other
ventures, he reinvested in private aviation services. His company, Quits
Aviation services is one of the few fixed-base operators in the country. Quits
Aviation Services owns a large maintenance hangar at
the Murtala Muhammed International airport in Lagos and a jet charter service.
Quits aviation service signed a historic contract with hospitality giant,
Hilton, to build a 350-room Hilton Lagos Airport Hotel to serve the MMA and its
environs. When completed, the ultra-modern edifice will host diplomats, global
celebs, politicians and other frequent airport users, who desire a top-end
relaxation spot. Iwuajoku’s glory days are no doubt returning.
